I'm a corporate runaway and lifelong athlete with over 30 years of experience in the exercise industry. I started teaching fitness in college and kept it as my side gig while working in sports marketing and public relations for Du Pont. Over the years I've taught every type of class imaginable, from step aerobics, slide board, spinning and conditioning but when I discovered Pilates I was hooked. I knew that in additon to my other forms of exercise I'd be training on the reformer and doing mat for the rest of my life. Today I'm a certified IM=X trained Pilates instructor, freeelance writer and competitve speedskater.
Ask Me A question
New to exericse or trying to get back into a routine? Considering sports specific training or looking for a workout to compliment your other forms of exercise? Or do you just have a general health, fitness or nutrition question? Drop me a line and I'll get back with some suggestions
Fitness should be fun and functional. Exercise should leave you inspired and invigorated, not beaten down and injured. My philosophy is "no pain-no pain" and that training smart is more efficient and effective than trying to kill yourself during every workout. The key is balance so in addition to hardcore cardio, it's essential to incorporate restorative training into your regime. I work using a multidimentional approach that includes core strengthening, flexibility training and active stretching so that you can enjoy your body for a lifetime.
